Who works better --- ziplock freezer bags or freezer paper? I guess freezer paper, but I bought freezer bags which were on sale. I do not want to invest tape freezer .... but I suppose you could use tape if you had to. In the future, however, which prevents freezer burn more effectively?
Either one will do, provided to remove all air from the bag before closing, or closed paper cassette, leaving no air holes or openings. I find electrical tape works very well, if you do not tape the freezer. masking tape tends to freeze and disintegrates, peeling away. Good luck.
Zip Lock pursue less easy

If you really want to keep your food from the freezer burn, buy a sealer food vacuum knowledge. It's a bit more expensive for the bags, but I never use anything else. You can wash and reuse the bags too. You can use them as a boil a bag too, the freezer to boiling water and your business is ready. I bought my Food Saver at Costco when they had a coupon and they often have a reduction on the bags.
I use freezer bags for everything! I've used store brand, but am frustrated this week with all the leaks, I found that I was filling bags. So I stock my food with a brand name, and I think I'll stick with it.
I started to put some things in one service snack bags, which do not come in a freezer version. I just take all the bags of snack size and put them in a bag or two a gallon freezer. Things like granola bars and snack mixes. When I make pie crust, I put the pieces of dough into a sandwich bag and then put them all into a gallon size freezer bag. Since the bag gallon holding smaller bags, I continue to reuse the bag gallon fill small bags when I make a new batch of pastry or another.
Plastic bag, I say .. But you really use the thing for you comfort and lifestyle ..
