I have a king snake in Florida, the temperature during the day with a heat mat strip UV 82f and said when he goes to? night, it drops to 77F. is this temp right for him? as it feeds ok?
Sounds good, but you do not need a UV light. Snakes are not really needed. UV light is for things such as lizards and dragons and other things. They need to produce calcium in their bodies. So, put the light just costly and put a light in it for normal viewing. Oh and enjoy your Kingsnakes, I raise all types of snakes and the kings are my favorites.
It looks pretty good, but if you can, lift the warm side of the cage 84 or 85 degrees during the day.
