Remove stains? I just got one back down to the laundromat and I notice there is a plan and discoloration of a bloodstain. Is there a way to get rid of this? If the cleaner took care of him? .. I am a single male and do not know much about these things ... Thank you for an answer
I worked in the medical field for many years. I've only seen two things clear material bloodstains. One is hydrogen peroxide and the other is a cleaning solution called "Mean Green" Mean Green you can buy in any store "Dollar General" or a similar exemption. Good luck ... These are not guaranteed but that worked for me and others in my profession several times.
If the stain has not been there before you made it back to cleaning. They may be responsible for removing the stain back into your quilt without charge.
I own a dry cleaning for 18 years. There is no cure for this. You must use chemicals to remove the stain. The blood protein when mixed with the chemical can cause discoloration. However, I must say that the dry cleaner should have warned you of what could happen. I've always done and sometimes had the customer sign a release. Try to wash in cold water. I found that most comforters are best cleaned dry-clean because of the smell. If it is cotton wash in cold water and put it to dry, because most dry cleaners anyway.
