How do you remove the oil inside a bike disc brakes push one? Do not ask me why, but I like oiling my chain on my "Scott mountain" I also put a little oil in the mechanism that supports the drive on my wheels, now I can not use my brakes as they are lubricated.
I use a 3 in 1 oil clear, I tried to start it using a kitchen towel, I had a lot of it but it still does not help me. I still have no brakes work.
Is there an easy way to remove oil from my brakes without having to remove my brakes or take it to a repair shop of local bike?
Thank you very much if you can help, guaranteed 10 points to the person who can solve my problem the better.
You do not want to use 3 in 1 oil on your bike. It is a vegetable oil and gum things. Get your self a little oil and chain oil of good Lite cables and derailleur pivots. You need to take the wheel and clean the disc with brake cleaner. Pull the brake pads and replace them. Use a cleaner on brake calipers after getting all the oil off as you can with paper towels.
Want to use a degreaser on the chain to get the junk away from him and re-lubricating oil with a good chain.
the use of hydraulic fluid that is used for disc brakes, put on the carpet and dry it with a lighter.
has always worked a charm for me, it takes the brilliance of a diamond and what does not contaminate the pads as water, soap and other cleaning products generally do not.
I doubt seriously that even responders in Motorcycles have care to answer this question, either, but that would be the BEST category reask to your question because our bikes are nothing like the bike that YOUR use of gasoline .. ... we use pedal power on our bikes here in cycling!
Do not listen to this guy ^ ^ 'button lighting the fire is useless.
Unfortunately, your pads are contaminated and you need to buy new brake pads, this is the only way for you to work as though they were. According to the brakes is usually not too difficult to remove and replace the pads, but if you're not sure you need to take it to your local bike shop.
Before using the brakes again as cleaning the disc down with a disc brake cleaner (aerosol delivery and is usually very cheap from a hardware store).
And the next time you're at your local bike shop, pick up rock and roll or tri-flow. It lubricate your chain much more efficiently.
Hope that helped
