Ross Castle

This castle is said to be haunted by several ghosts, including Sabrina and Owen, a couple who died while on a boat trip. A survey conducted in 2006 to try to prove the true stories once and for all, however, it has unfortunately not led to any substantial evidence, the participants all agreed that there was just something there.

Castle Inn

This inn is believed to be frequented by the ghost of the poet, James Clarence Mangan. The poet died of cholera and it is said that when he entered the inn, the temperature drops and the darkening mood.

Renvyle House Hotel

This hotel seems to be haunted by ghosts as they very determined still haunt the hotel, even after it has been completely rebuilt. The unexplained whereabouts included; groans, doors opening and closing without any explanation, fly sheets and hotel guests even be thrown out of their beds. Perhaps the most frightening of all are voyeuristic ghosts that have been identified in the mirrors by customers who are women to undress.

Ballygally Castle Hotel

This hotel is said to be home to the ghost of Lady Isabella Shaw. She has lived here since she was imprisoned in the 17th century to give birth to a daughter instead of a boy. Lady Isabella, the broken heart, clasped her child and jumped out the window. Today, Lady Isabella knocks at your doorstep disturb some guests, but it is probably the bane of Lamentations of the baby hears it no doubt sends more shivers down my spine.

Dobbins Inn Hotel

This hotel was once a tower in the 13th century. Family member Elizabeth Dobbin, who lived in the tower, had an affair with a soldier, to the dismay of her husband who killed the two with his sword. Kyteler's Inn

This hostel is named after Lady Alice Kyteler, otherwise known as "Witch of Kilkenny". The reason for its title, because she had managed to survive several of its rich husbands. The charges began to spread wrongdoing and witchcraft. To protect herself and her son, Alice bought their freedom, Petronella leaving officials to be burned at the stake. It is widely believed that Petronella is the ghost that haunts the women's reasons for the Inn.

These hotels have a ghost story whereabouts and be very intriguing places to stay. Even if you do not see the apparitions, imagination can run wild and make your stay at some of the best scary haunted hotels in Ireland .
