Removing yellow sweat stains clothes, what works best? I have several shirts (all colors) who have yellow satin under his arm ... I belive this is caused by sweat. (And yes, I do not use deoderant) I heard of several methods; viniger, amonnia, aspirin, lemons, salt, meat tenderizer and OxiClean are common. Was trying one of these methods and, if so, what works best for you?
My daughter has the same problem with his shirts. I soak them in another brand and a time for a while, then rub. Then put them in a regular wash cycle with more than the same and they should leave. Mine do.

Yellow underarm shirt stains are likely caused by a combination of deodorant and perspiration. Many deodorants and antiperspirants contain aluminum salts. When these salts are combined with laundry detergent, especially in cold water settings, they are not easily dissolved, and they remain on the fabric.
To remove stains, try soaking the shirts in hot water with an enzyme pre-soak product or rubbing the soiled area with white vinegar. Wash in hottest water safe for fabric. If stain remains, dampen and sprinkle stain with meat tenderizer. Let stand for about an hour, and wash again.
To avoid the formation of new stains, always wash the shirts in the hottest water safe for fabric. Also, allow antiperspirant to dry completely before dressing ...=)
vinegar and aspirin work better ... at least from my experience.
I found that the best thing to do is prevent stains, first. Make sure that deodorant is dry before dressing and soak in sweat shirts and deodorant stained vinegar as soon as possible, then wash. Make sure you wipe out while deodorant before washing. The smell of vinegar will disappear in the washing machine.
