Eze Does there
The medieval village of Eze can be reached within 11km of the city of Nice and offers a range of interesting cultural and historical attractions. The village enjoys a spectacular location, perched above the Mediterranean on a rocky promontory. A walking tour of the village offers visitors the opportunity to absorb the remarkable feats of engineering and architecture. The first stop should be the castle town of the 12th century which is located on a steep narrow ridge.
The castle was destroyed during a turbulent period in the 17th century, but its attractive designs survive to this day. Exotic Garden is currently in the park and offers visitors a panoramic view from the coast of 429m high. The view is not cheap, however, and a generous donation is expected.
