Oxydol Detergent

I want to clean my deck before I stain. Has anyone used oxydol to clean a bridge before?

detergent soap will not clean the work area to spot. As a house painter for years, I have power washed first and then stain the wood. If you do not power wash, then try a product of Cabot, and Thomson, it can be put in a garden sprayer mixed with water let stand as indicated, and water. It will clean the wood almost to its natural state. Buy at Home Depot or a paint store it comes in a gal. size. It is a cleaner for wood.

I think so. There are some bridge oxy wash now available. You may find that it is not brighten your deck as much as chlorine wash the bridge will be founded, but it will remove dirt and oils. It will not remove old finishes, however.
