kitchen grease best??? I work in a restaurant very old and well, we were visited by the health department and we need to clean a lot! We have tile in the kitchen and about 10 years now total fat on them ... HELP!
We must get rid of this fat asap ... What is the best way to degrease??? Someone told me to use Mean Green sold to Fred, I did and it's OK ... I use kitchen degreaser Sysco and that is ok too, but not enough ... Perhaps you know a better way to do it ...
All suggestions are appreciated!
I want to go to a paint store or hardware store and buy turpentine or better yet, get acetone. Both are very cheap. The disadvantage is that you must take care to ventilate the place and keep the windows open while you work with, either because they do not feel so good and not good to breathe for long periods or time . You must use piece of cloth. Moisten with either acetone or turpentine and rub vigorously. With another piece of clean cloth and mess away with a third piece of cloth to apply soap (dish soap itself is OK) and water. You can use a scrub brush to five inches and pour a little washing liquid on the area you have to clean and rub with pressure of the whole arm and back. Things are real clean that way too. You can even clean the top of the lamps with turpentine or acetone. They also come clean, it is amazing. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
Dawn dishwashing soap is a very good degreaser.
You do not want to aggravate problems with the inspector using a solvent too strong. But if you want stronger, you might look into the degreaser that you can find an auto parts store. For my part, I prefer to use Dawn dishwashing detergent, in nothing more than a 50/50 mixture of stuff really hard ... 25/75 for the general purpose degreasing, or just a couple of bottles emissions per bucket for general cleaning.
You might find a scrubber to be at hand, some sponge mops are supplied with a gasket. I used a pole sander with Scotch Brite pads on them very difficult to clean with good results.
You'll need to rinse everything down after cleaning.
Hehehe ... Just think .... if there had been the habit of cleaning up every day, really good, it would be much easier.
Fun
Go to the dollar store and buy a bottle or a couple of bottles of Awesome. It comes in two gallon and spray bottles, the cost of $ 3.00 dollars for a half gallon, not dilute, or if you can WAN. is the solvent and degreaser simple satin that I have ever found. If it does not do the trick, you can try grease lightning, also sold at the dollar store. These are the best that i know of Hope this helps. Good luck.
Try some Windex. I do not know how it works, but only that it does. You do not have to heat it. From what you described, and have lots of paper napkins or rags in hand!
If you can get the weight of the grease on the floor, get a steam cleaner to get rid of the rest. Very sanitary and easy to use. If you do not want to buy one, try a local equipment rental store ... they could have a rental.
Good luck! :)
Try using a little ammonia and hot water to loosen the grease, soak in grease, before starting to rub. Do not mix with any other product, because it can be fatal.
Try renting / buying a steam cleaner. Not a carpet cleaner, but one that shoots steam. I have a Shark steamer and love to clean my gas grill commercial type! It melts the fat, you wipe. Upside is no unpleasant chemical residues get rid!
