What would be the 4-way control of cockroaches?

Warning! Im afraid of them too. I live in the north so we do not really here (Yahoo), but old habits are hard to break down south. I keep all my dry goods food in glass jars gallons and everything that fits in the refrigerator. Well the usual methods of work should hopefully: Did the house sprayed regularly, keep the kitchen clean and maybe try some OTC products too, like the cockroach bait / insecticide.
