Getting rid of cat urine on carpet? cat urinated on May 1 speck on the carpet which is the best thing to use to get rid of the smell?
Mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and pour it on many of the affected area. The baking soda absorbs the smell and the evaporation of hydrogen peroxide, is the terrible smell. I used this technique on a mattress and it worked very well. The best part is that it does not stain or bleach the carpet.
Good luck
The best tips for using a product called Odorcide.201. I used it myself, it gets rid of the smell and it is safe to use anywhere. Check online, you can order via the Web, or if you store cleaning products in your area, they probably win. It is a concentrate, so all you do is add the water and spray the affected area. It does not stain and has a pleasant smell.
Here's a site I highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I suggest to repeat the process after the first application, and rinse the carpet with cold water between the two applications. Good luck!
This will sound strange, but you must use another cat urine. The odors are neutralized each other.
