Dry Pack Concrete

Posted on February 3, 2010.
Dry Pack ConcreteIs this a good way to pour concrete into a hole to fix a fence post?

We pour the dry mix of concrete into the hole halfway, then added water, we waited a few moments, then added more concrete mix, then a little more water again. I have hard red clay in my area. Our holes were dug two feet. The bottom half of the hole was filled with hard red clay, then the top half (about one foot) is all concrete. Concrete can be more.

Is this a good way to put a message? Please explain why or why not.

I would say no, this is not a good way because you did not say if you mixed the concrete and water.

you must use a mortar or concrete sand mix he has in him the rocks to strengthen it. but the depth is great, but put your mortar on the bottom of the clay on top and give him time to develop.

It's a way, but I recommend you first treat the butt of the post with a condom to prevent wood rot. I say this to you, because once the clay is compacted water will no longer be able to penetrate and therefore can potentially rot the post. It has been recommended in the past for certain areas the rock drainage will be installed at the bottom of the post (six inches) for adequate drainage, and then followed with a lot filled with concrete, thoroughly mixed, and left just above the finish quality to prevent water accumulation of water in or near the post.

Best wishes.

Happy New Year party cement.2 mixture.1 concrete parts of sand and gravel in four parts, mixed with water until lumps and pour into the hole and insert the mixture until well prepared and printed must be cured in one day
1) your mixture is guesswork.end result is not satisfactory (2) usuage waste of cement (3) will not set correctly

get a lot of rocks on the ground. Insert your message, fill around it with the rock on the ground, pour dry cement mix around and through it. Tamp tight rocks. when you are above the hole, pour remaining mixture dry inside. soil moisture mix and "set" of cement.

.

is mixed concrete and water in a blender or u can use a wheelbarrow. rigidity u make the louder it will be. which is called ur "crisis". 2 wet and the concrete is brittle.

Mix stiff and add one or two hand fulls of hydraulic cement mixture in the heart. It will be faster and stronger.

I dig my hole, then pour a whole bag of concrete into the bag around the post and then add 1 liter of water, it will all go and set up very well! When I lived in Florida, it was wet enough that you do not even need to add water! few days after the concrete is difficult to humidity and dew!

I worked in carpentry to live for about 2 years and you have this right. you can again level the game and your messages if you have moved and so they can fully implemented. and also pay a little sand, play in the sand is the best in the small holes that you did when you shook your posts.

No two feet is a good depth for your messages, but you should have mixed the concrete and water before filling the hole. By overlaying the concrete and water, you will not have the strength she will need to keep the post in tact. If I were you I would dig the post and again.

Well, I saw my husband's neighbors this year, only he mixed the cement and water in the first hole before putting in the post, he went through some big rocks around poles to help support while the hardening of cement and took shape. between the cement and mud and rocks held up great. I think you should have mixed cement before droping your post in.

I used tons of ready-mixed concrete, but I always used a wheelbarrow or a bucket and mix with water to obtain a mayonnaise consistency Nice. There is less chance of not having properly adjusted this way. Then I block posts with stakes in t.
