Dog Odor Removal

Most dog owners will have an occasional smell of dog and will need to have some quick tips for dog odor removal . The key to a house that people want vs. having to visit a house that "smells like dog," is knowing what to do at once to clean odors and prevent odor.

I want to preface this with the fact that I have four dogs in my house. Now, I know it looks great. However, I want you to know that I also get compliments on how my house smells. The first thing people say is wow your house smells good. They are really shocked. They are all naturally assume my house will smell bad. Or they see my dogs and I are shocked dogs. (These are the few that are more or my child's emergency care and do not know the dogs later.)

Supplies:
Let's talk about some basic supplies all dog owners should have.
aec You need to pick up sacks of shit waste, not only for walking, but also in your own back yard. Perfume is nice but not necessary.
aec Baking soda
aec large amounts of salt to spread on accidents
aec Vinegar
aec Gloves
aec grooming tools (I prefer rubber brushes, brush but is absolutely necessary.)
aec Dog Cologne for emergencies

Prevention:
Preventing the smell of dog is the best tool in your arsenal in eliminating odors dog. Brushing your dog everyday is the best thing you can do. I hear people give their dogs a bath once a week. I could not imagine doing this with four dogs. I give my dogs a bath twice a year and trust me they feel good. However, I brush them once a night and watching television. My rubber brush removes dirt and keeps them from feeling good. Then, in an emergency after just caught in something and someone comes over, comes out of doggy cologne.

The prevention tool is the other big doggy bag. Nothing can funk up a home more than a yard full of shit. Picking their way or at least daily. Dogs come in and you too. It feels so pick it up! You need the bag to keep your house feeling. Tie That Sucker to tight.

Eliminate odors from dog
When your dog has an accident, you must remove promptly. House dogs will not break accidents unless they are sick, but they do fall ill. Take sick dogs to the vet and clean up the mess.

Carpet:
After soaking, as much as you can with a towel, spread baking soda and brush the ground to absorb more odors and then vacuum. Put salt generously to absorb urine remaining let sit before vacuuming.

Hard surface
Make sure it does not fade the first surface. Mix together three parts vinegar and one part water and rub the surface to eliminate odors. Then rinse the area liberally with water. You may want to be with dish soap and water afterwards to remove any odor of vinegar.
