Removing odors and stains on a mattress with Memory Foam Topper Remove odors and stains from your memory foam mattress is not as difficult as you might think. Most people feel that the memory foam is very fragile and can be easily damaged. Although this is partly true, you can remove stains and odors from your memory foam mattress without damage. Here is a list of methods different ways you can eliminate odors and remove stains.
Odor Removal
Memory foam is particularly absorbent and may draw the odors from the air and stick to it. Smells like cigarette smoke, urine and vomit, may persist in the memory foam for long periods of time. To get rid of these smells, you can try one or more of the methods listed below.
1. Take baking soda and sprinkle over the entire surface of your memory foam mattress. Allow the baking soda to sit on the topper for the whole night. The next morning, take a vacuum cleaner with an attachment that has a soft brush or hand vacuum and thoroughly vacuum the baking soda of Topper. Baking soda is very absorbent and should do the trick.
2. Find a cleaner that is citrus based. With the spray citrus cleaner front and rear of the topper (spray very lightly). Let the cleaner citrus-based dry on the mattress. This should take no more than a few hours. Once the cleaning is dried under vacuum mattresses front and back.

Remove stains

3. Use a cleaner pet enzyme stain. You can find most of these types of stain to your local pet store. Spray the surface with the appropriate stain and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Take a damp cloth or sponge and wipe the area. Once the area has dried vacuum.
If the previous methods do not work to remove the stain, you can try to contact a professional cleaner mattress. Try finding one in your local Yellow Pages or the Internet. You can also contact the manufacturer of mattress pads because they may have specific products that they manufacture, they can be used to remove stains from memory foam.
