What is the best product or home remedy to clean tile floors? I need to thoroughly clean my tile and hoping someone has suggestions on something that is not too severe but very clean.
Vinegar is cheap and a detergent box ... Try a Yahoo search "cleaning vinegar" which should give you some ideas.
Tiles, for the most part must be sealed. There is no cleaning "deep" between them. If the surface is very dirty, it's another story. I've always been lucky in my tiled with white vinegar in hot water, but I would not say that for marble or granite tiles. Too much depends on what the tile is made.
--- Vinegar and water work-i in a tile store and I am a tile of his family the only way to go
Believe it or not I use on my floor with a mixture of Windex and floor cleaner. nothing .. too hard to help Windex shine. I would like to try it on the tile floors.
bleach and hot lemon
Spray cleaner with, dust with baking soda or a comet like powder. Clean and scrub the stains are difficult to clean. Rinse and apply floor wax.
The dough in baking soda. Baking soda + a little water. I use it on my baking stone to help absorb the food and the Oder to go evacuate food particles. It is cheap and effective.
I'm another fan vinigar and water. Cheap and very effective! I use 3 parts warm water and 1 part vinigar. In addition, mops old chain of fashion seems to work much better!
I use 1 tablespoon of ammonia and 2 tablespoons of borax in 1 gallon of water to mop my tile floors and they are very clean and shiny.
Beheld I vinegar 1-3 parts water.
The hot water and vinegar! Done this for years. This is not at all abrasive, disinfects, and will not deoderizes yellow colored tiles as bleach tends to do. I must admit, the smell of vinegar is not at all attractive, but it soon disappears and you have yourself a "floor so clean you can eat it!"
