How do I prevent my cat from shredding paper towels and eat? My cat, Jack, is about eight months. It seems like the sound of ripping paper. He often on the counter and began to bite into a roll of paper towels, and shreds them. Why does he do that? And how can I make it stop!
put tape on the counter so when he goes, he will receive the tape on his legs he can keep it if he is like the tape. gl
Place the paper towel away.
Seriously. My cats do the same thing. If I leave paper towels unattended for a few minutes one of my cats is it gripping and ripping with its hind legs. This problem is not on paper (I can leave unattended laptops without worry), so the simplest solution is best for me and keep paper towels in cabinets or places my cats are not common (as caught between refrigerator and stove).
Train him not to climb on the kitchen counter, not only for the towels, but because if you do you no end of pain over the next 10-20 years you will own it. If you are consistent and each time he gets on the cons give a negative reaction, such as kidnapping and say no loudly, spraying water, or hitting with a newspaper, it can be done. Keep out of the kitchen when you're not there to stop it until it is formed. You can even put a roll of towels on the floor to play with him for some time, and remove the temptation to climb on the counter until it is formed.
Hide napkin:) The cats in general love paper. Why not give a role to play with and / or buy him some more cat toys that make noise. Paper bags can also be the case. BTW, my cat likes to sit on our newspaper.
All animals like to do. You need to go somewhere, it cannot get them. If this is not an option, the jet of water every time he does.
