Better control of weeds in the flower bed? I have weeds and Bermuda grass within my flower bed, I planned to dig all the grass, leaving more dirt than I can.
And then, to say something about him. newspapers, landscape fabric, black plastic or garbage bags.
Then thick mulch on top and use anti-smooth weed every few months or more.
Does this work? What would be best to use to cover ive read mixed reviews, I landscape fabric, but I think the return because IVE read many bad reviews about it. I think a combination of newspapers or newspaper trashbag and fabric. I know that the grass can grow above the mulch of any barriers, but I put what I hope thats smooth stop it.
Which combination should I use and I should take the fabric back and get my money before opening and use it?
Am I fighting a losing battle against the bermuda?
What is a double layer of fabric of the landscape, it is also a brand I had to smooth sams club so there are a lot of it. And it is so thick its like those blue shop towels that come in rolls.
I use newspaper - several layers of it and then mulch. You'll still have to weed, but since the weeds only grow in the mulch, they are easy to draw. I do not use herbicides, because it is poison.
Preen is correct, but be careful. You should work plans. And the idea of paper is good too, today's newspaper does not use toxic ink. Good luck.
