What is the difference between auto bulb H4 12V and 12V 60/55W 100/80W H4? Both lights have the same grip and can be used interchangeably. However, the bulb is too bright for 100/80W be used on roads and oncoming drivers blindly. It can also draw too much current and could burn the switches, fuses, sockets and son.
100/80W versions of the H4 lamp is perfect for off road and racing, but they are not legal to use in the street.
100/80 is brighter than 60/55. In 40/25 watts! That is what the "W" is for.
Brightness. Higher = more watts of light
